Christmas lights in Colombia

A very peculiar thing here in Colombia is the christmas decoration. It is all with lights in all kind of colors. They blink, the change color, they are a lot. I think, they are beautiful but they don't make me feel like christmas at all. On the "día de la velitas" (day of the candles), we went to la Candelaria to see the lights. But not only there, you can see the lights. They are everywhere!

Plaza Simon Bolivar with the giant christmas tree.

A church.

Lu Lin and I were hoping for some christmas presents, but nothing.... ;(

Flowers on and around the christmas tree... why not? They even use butterflies. They would freeze in Germany, though...

Miguel and me in between the lights.

In Café de la ventana in Candelaria (the historical center of Bogotá). Especially Camilo seems to be really happy!

Decorating Zona T - the party zone.

In a park with Matthias and Martin.

Another park with even more colors and blinky lights. You can feel like in a disco!

In Andino, a really cool shopping mall. I am holding my christmas present from the company in my hands: A six pack of beer.

With Adriana.

Apparently, also mammoths can be part of the christmas decoration in Bogotá.
